Key to Internet Marketing Training – a Mentor is NOT Enough!

You must find a Mentor, but a mentor is NOT enough.  
I’ve written about Internet Marketing Training several times – I am an educator after all.  I’ve felt for a long time that in order to successfully climb the wall you cannot go it alone.  You must find a mentor.

While this is necessary, you should understand that finding a Top Tier Mentor is NOT enough!  Let me tell you why!

Why a Mentor is NOT Enough to Ensure Success at Internet Marketing Training

Step 1 of Dr. Hale’s Foolproof 4 Step Method for Crushing Overwhelm is finding a mentor.  It is crucial that you find an established Internet Marketing Tier One Leader that you resonate with.  You must have someone who has been there, done that, and owns way too many T-shirts.  This person must be committed to Internet Marketing Training. Their insights and understanding of the subtle pitfalls of marketing on the Internet are indispensable.

Finding a mentor implies that you stop trying to learn Internet Marketing alone.  One in a 1,000 or maybe one in 10,000 actually make a significant income online by themselves.  I know three. 

1. The first took 12 years and is doing Network Marketing to generate a residual income. 
2. The second took five years and is an extraordinary person.
3. The last is a couple, and they took seven years and failed several times.  

In my humble opinion, it is a fools bet to assume that you are the 1 in a 1,000 and not one of the 999.  You need help to completely crush Internet Marketing overwhelm.

That doesn’t mean that you aren’t special and that you won’t reach incredible heights. It just means that you need some mentoring and coaching along the way.  Think about it – have you ever heard of a top-tier athlete who didn’t have a coach?

However finding a Mentor is NOT enough!

By now you are probably asking yourself Why Not?  (Right?  You are asking that aren’t you?)

It’s really quite simple.  The top-level person undoubtedly has hundreds of people clamoring for their attention.  The mentor just cannot focus on you and give you the time and attention that you need.  Even if you’ve paid the $50,000 Special One-On-One Coaching Deal, they just can’t do it.  For example,  it has been well established that managers can only handle about 15 people under them.  Adding more means that people are working independently.   It is even more a problem when they are training people.  If the mentor is a full-time teacher then some intense training is possible, but they NEVER are full-time teachers.  They are expert marketers and marketers market things!  That’s why you want them as your Mentor.  When you add in long distance training, the task becomes very tough indeed – tough enough to be impossible.

So what I’m saying is that the Mentor DOES NOT HAVE TIME FOR YOU.   Now we are faced with a delimma.  Something we must have that won’t be able to do what we need.

There is a solution and every successful training program I know uses it.

The Solution

To succeed in an Internet Marketing Training Program, you must find TWO people – the mentor (top-tier, massive experience, insights you can’t do without) and a coach (less experience but much more time available for YOU, preferably trained by your mentor over time.)  Your chances of success go WAY up when you find this two tier program.   You need to resonate with both the Mentor and the Coach.  Now you have a person who can help you with the day-to-day learning to get you most of the way up the wall AND the expert that can boost you into the top-tier.
