Force Facebook Pixels to be Assigned for Every Product Launched on Gearbubble

Gearbubble Sellers need to make sure that they add their Facebook Pixel to each product they launch.  The data this provides is critical to running Facebook Ads at a profit.  This is an easy way to force the Facebook™ pixel to be assigned during every product launch.

There is a short video at the bottom of the post where I walk through this same material.

The Way Assigning Facebook Pixels is Usually Taught

The way I usually see Facebook Pixels Assignment being taught is to wait until after the product has been launched and then when (and IF) you click on the SETTINGS button, make the assignment there.   This works, but it is easy to forget and there are products that get launched as upsells or as options that you may never take the time to do the SETTINGS.   In addition there is no easy way to tell at a glance if the pixel has been set.  You have to go to the Sales Page and see if the Facebook Pixel Helper fired.  (In case you missed this one, there is an extension for the Chrome Browser call the Pixel Helper.  When you land on a page the small icon at the top of the browser tells you how many Pixels fired when the page loaded.  You can also click on the little icon and a pop-up screen tells you which pixels fired.)

Here is the way I see assigning Pixels taught the most.

The Settings Button
Force Facebook Pixels to be Assigned - Settings ButtonAfter a product on Gearbubble is launched you can see it in the Dashboard.  Click on the SETTINGS button

TRACKING PIXELS SCREEN

You need to click on the TRACKING PIXELS Button.

The next step is to Click the small Icon

Fill in the Facebook Pixel

If you remember the first digit of your pixel (code (and if that is unique), you can type that and Windows will show you what you types in the past.  Otherwise you must go and find the pixel ID code in Facebook or wherever you have stored it.  BTW, this screen is the only place inside Gearbubble where you can tell that the Pixel has been set.   As you can see if takes several clicks on each product to get to this screen.

A Better Way to Force Facebook Pixels to be Assigned

We need to go into the Settings and set up our Pixel code.  This is a one time process.

Open the Settings System

#1 – Click on your name in the upper right hand corner of the Gearbubble Screen

#2 – Click on Settings

SETTINGS SCREEN

Click on Default Settings

Default Settings Screen

Click on TRACKING PIXELS Buton

#1 –   Make sure the check box beside “Use the new Facebook Pixel is checked.

#2 – Click on the DEFAULT SETTINGS Button

Click on the CREATE NEW DEFAULTS Button

New Defaults Screen
There are three “tabs” on this screen, even thought it is hard to tell.  Click on the ADD TRACKING PIXELS” tab

Add Tracking Pixel Screen

#1 – Click on the little Icone

#2 – Add a Name you will recognize for your Pixel – Mostly used if you have more than one pixel (advanced, heavy users only)

#3 – Fill in the Pixel ID Code

#4 – Click on the CREATE button (not shown)

You are done.  As noted above, you only need to go through this process once.

Force Facebook Pixels to be Assigned – In Action

When you launch a Campaign on Gearbubble, there are three screens.

  1. Upload the Creative
  2. Fill in Information like the Title, URL, Tags and any edits you like to make to the default product Description.
  3. Defaults Screnn – most of us just click UPDATE here

Now you have something to do here.

NOTE:  The product is actually already launched before you do anything with this sc

reen.  If you close this screen or shut down your computer or lose your Internet Connection, the product is actually launched.

Now if you just click on the UPDATE Button (#4), you will get the (#2) pink bar at the top of the screen,  This screen will not go away until your set the Pixel.

#3 – Click on the Drop-Down Menu under SETUP YOUR PIXEL and you will see the Pixel NAME we just created during the Pixel Setup Process.

#1 – Pick the Name your gave your pixel.

#2 – Now you can click UPDATE and the screen will disappear and you will be back at your Dashboard.

Choose the name and then click UPDATE.  Your pixel will be set.

This process literally forces you to set the Facebook tracking pixel during the campaign launch.  It take two clicks, you can’t forget to do it, and you don’t have to look up the Pixel ID code with every product launch.
